I can't even get my head around the metric gas mileage expression. It makes no sense. The English system we use is better unquestionably. For Example one one thousandth of an inch is an exponentially smaller distance than one tenth of a millimeter. in fact a tenth of a milli is around a 64th of an inch how many times does 64 go into a thousand? how about a bit shy of 17. yeah metric converts terms much more handily. so basically their argument is dumbing stuff down is somehow advantageous. I can add and subtract and convert complex calculations handily in my headevewn fractions are simple. Sorry guys I worked with some germans last fall installing equipment. they thought they were something else cuz it took them forever to make a move locationwise. their tolerance was a half a millimeter. My crew worked with some southern boys from the same company and we erected our machine in one third the time it took them. and our tolerance was to take a Zero and split it right down the middle. as far as the octane argument goes its clear to me the 91 is much better in my Aurora. second point, with the volatile gas prices there seems to be no concern amongst retailers about competing prices on higher octanes. Herein is an indication of a problem. Seasonally, if no one else is buying a high grade except fpr a chosen few those people are likely buying gas that is not fresh. and could be the opposite grade left over from the previous season. hope my little jab doesn't get me in trouble.
