I am REALLY excited for Forza 3 to come out next month (demo available online today)! I have barely picked up a controller for my 360 since spring but seeing how incredible this game looks its pulling me back in. Racing fans should really check it out.

lol, i stayed up till almost 2am today waiting for it to be available to download. i kept thinking "technically its the 24th, I should be driving now, they said the 24th... I wonder if its a time zone thing". Well i fell asleep, but i did start the download before i left for work. Ill be heading home for lunch to check it in a little bit, real anxious

I play XBox 360 games more than PS3 games (besides Metal Gear Solid 4) because I enjoy racking up useless achievements, but I love the PS3 for it's Blu-Ray capabilities. The 360 has a better controller anyway.

Briefly on a friends box. Didn't care for it. My standards are very high. I got the newest Need For Speed. It sucks. I think a measure every racing game to Gran Turismo and Forza.

So the countdown begins! 4 days till FM3!!!!  What's everyone think of the demo? I really like that the manual shift with clutch feature finally made it (every PC sim has had it for years), helps the realism. I just hope the extremely annoying intro everytime you race is only for the demo. For us extreme sim nuts you literally have 1 second to change your camera view to cockpit and get the revs exactly correct for launch (of course no trac/stability assists). For the game itself, I was put off by the handling of the cars at first. The Mini Cooper is 100% spot on IMO. But for mid-range RWD cars like the California, it's like your driving every car with race slicks on there. There's just too much front tire grip. Though playing for a while (about everyday since the demo release ;D) I'm really coming around. Anyone up for some online time challenges? Basically just post your time on the honor system. Shall we start off with the California? My current best time is 1:10.559 with no assist other then ABS. |

I like Forza 3. I played the demo at a friends house and it was pretty tight. NFS Pro Street has a clutch option (you can shift manual with or without the clutch) and I really liked it in that game as well. It should be cool!

I run mine in the vertical position, but I have a stand with a built in charging station and intercooler. I've never gotten redeye but I had the disc reader quit on me once and I had to get a replacement.
I don't have FM3, I've been busy with NFS Shift recently. What's your tag, Shroom?

forza 2 did that to me years ago. I too love the new one and reached level 50 a month or so ago and i have a huge garage. I'm disappointed they took out some great features that were in the last one. I think the pi system is flawed/inaccurate, I hate the gimmicky auto-revving at the start that leaves you a second to find your throttle position. Also, there is no set of decent racing slicks for drag races leaving the times a bit unrealistic because it you cannot get any grip. I could go on with more small issues but all in all it is a beautiful game. That being said, i cant wait for the next dlc package in a couple weeks : )

as some of you know, my xbox pooped out on me, and i voided the warranty, bought a ps3 a week after the xbox went, same gamertag, im planning on trying to fix the xbox problem, sometime..when i have a couple days off from work
