Ugly pictures Javi. Hope everything works out for you.
Is it just me or are both front rims bent?
Good thing is is that the car, air bags and the seat belts did their respective jobs.

Wow, very ugly pictures... hope your rims aren't hurt too much, glad the safety features did their jobs!
What's going to be your next car?

The thing is Javi you were driving a really nice car....a part of history actually if you look at it that way. This car will be a classic someday. But i mean the people driving that cheap POS throw-away Hyundia probably couldnt have cared less about their car. I know family is more important and cars can be replaced...but cmon. I dont know why people buy hyundais if they really care about their family to begin with.
Only 60k miles on that baby too. wow. I didnt notice the rims were bent too. Damnit. I wouldve paid 1200 for all 4 of them with the nittos.

the driver side HID is probably broke isnt it? I think both should be okay, I'll let you know. Ugly pictures Javi. Hope everything works out for you. Is it just me or are both front rims bent? Good thing is is that the car, air bags and the seat belts did their respective jobs. I was told by the body shop that it was only the left front wheel that got damaged. Wow, very ugly pictures... hope your rims aren't hurt too much, glad the safety features did their jobs! What's going to be your next car? Well I don't want to spoil anything but if I cannot find a 2Gen Aurora with some waht low miles, I'll probably start looking at a 2002 Chevy Tahoe or a 2002-03 Chrysler 300M "Special", yup just like the one that Jim was considering. I still don't know.

I still don't know. Thou shalt not speak such blasphemies! Seriously, though, the 300M is not a bad car, if a little unreliable, and the Tahoe is a solid choice (though I wouldn't want to blend in with the 6.8 million soccermoms who currently drive Tahoes). I think the second-gen 4.0 would be a much better choice than either, but that's just me. Besides, there are plenty of low-mileage second-gens around (I recall seeing a 2002 3.5 in the paper recently with, get this, 2,700 miles on it). To each his own, however...

300M Special is a fantasic ride, most havent been around long enough to develop major problems, but you see a lot of mid to late 90's Intrepids on the road, if thats any comparision....and the Intrepid R/T with the 3.5L V6 is a good engine and the same 255HP high output engine is in the M. I wouldnt pass over a good M Special..and I'd seriously still consider one. However you could probably get a better deal on a 4.0 2nd Gen Aurora. I suppose you could sell a lot of your stuff eh Javi? heh, clear corners, system, 3 rims, HID etc. She'll be missed man

I'm awful sorry that happened, Javi. I feel like a complete tool for going on about interior mods in the other thread and not realizing you'd wrecked days before. It could happen anytime, I guess. Definitely an eye-opener.

95mushroom, I'll see if I'm able to save the 3rd brake light.
I just received word from my insurance my Aurora was declared a total loss. I got to go and clean it out tomorrow morning, I'm still devating wether to leave the 20 inch wheels on, the insurance company said they wold pay me a percentage of the wheels, they don't pay dollar per dollar on them, if they offer me more than a grand a half, I'll just leave them on.
What a frakin' mess this is, I would of wished they fixed my Aurora, I think I'm the one that has more to loose here, but what you gonna do.

How are you getting around now? In my opinion, the damage was fixable, at least from what I could see in the pics. I supposed insurance guys know more than I do, though... Any thought to a second-gen? There's a silver '02 4.0 on eBay with less than 12,000 miles right now.

Javi make sure you take out the stereo and everything aftermarket that you put into that car. Speakers, tweeters etc. I know i saw aftermarket tweeters in there. Dont let them have all that. They will take it home with them.

it's probably a good thing they totaled it. many wrecked cars never will be the same after repair and will be more problamatic than they're worth.

They will take it home with them. I manage to take out the Alpine system, amp and rear spearker, I also managed to remove the LED side markers, small LED in the dash for the TRUNK, FUEL and Sentinel Lights. I took a look at the HID light, I manage to save the HELLA Ballast, the left side Xenon bulb looked cracked, so I left that, the right bulb was okay but decided to leave it. As for the clear side markers, the left one was broken, the right looked okay but left that in there. I was just tired and forgot to look for the 3rd LED light, so left it as well. Did manage to pop out the 3157 Silverstars. So this is what I have and in the next few days I will list somethings that I will let go.

Thanks dude, hey it was all for the love of the Aurora, no regrets here.
I went back today to take out the 3 chrome wheels, the insurance company was only going to pay me $200 dollars for the aftermarket wheels, so I said screw it, I'm taking my 3 wheels back, installed back the stockies.
I did manage to rescue the 3rd brake light though.

Yeesh, good choice there (freakin' insurance crooks ). You have proof of purchase, right? They ought to come closer to matching their real value, if you can show how much you paid. In any event, you ought to be able to sell the 3 wheels to someone looking for a complete set... then the buyer only has to buy 1 of them new. Cool. I'll take it if you need a buyer, unless you plan on saving it for your next vehicle. Were you able to hold onto (or retrieve) any of your stock or aftermarket stereo equipment?

I'll let you know about the 3rd brake light once I decide what I'm going to do after all this. I put back the stock radio and took my Alpine out and subwoofer as well, the door speaker and tweets stayed, there was no point in taking only the passenger door speaker, I couldn't open the drivers door, so I just left all that in there.

Wow. Was this a nationally known insurance company? I sure don't want this if I ever have to face it. Thankfully, the Aurora did what is was designed to - protect its passengers.

Yup it is a well known insurance. Sounds like State Farm. What a bunch of crooks! I just recently recieved a letter that they lost my Proof of Good Student Discount info (for the FOURTH time in two years, no less!) and I have to pay $332/month until school re-starts in August because they need an official letter and the school can't do it until we're back in session. $332/month nets me liability only, by the way. I usually pay $137.50/month. They are idiots. No offense if any of you guys are insurance agents, maybe it's just the ones around Charleston. Complete buffoons!

Yeah they are jerkoffs. But when you do have a wreck they are usually quick on things. We happen to have a nice agent. I do not like their rates one bit. Since i am not 18, i cannot take out my own policy (not that i'd want to anyway, as it evens out cheaper) and there are other companies like Progressive and Allstate that quoted me almost $300 less if i paid a year up front, instead of 6 month payments of $1100 like i do now.
I hate to take off collision coverage. If i did not have it in this past year I could have saved around 500 bucks. Then again, as Karma would have it, as soon as I take it off, I would probably destroy my car.
