Okay guys, I was waiting to have the pictures installed and downlaoded for you all to see, but camera is being borrowed for now.
But none the less, on Saturday July 16, 2005 I picked a 2003 Chrysler 300 Special M, color Navy Blue, (only 3 colors available for the Special, Light Silver, Navy Blue & Black) with, get this 5,980 original miles on it. The price was 23,988. This car has everything my Aurora had if not more, I wanted a car with similar options as my Aurora, so this was the only one the really got my eye. Let me tell you it has some nice options, people that are familiar with this car know the options. Berfore getting this vehicle I checked with my brother-in-law to see if there was any TSB or bulletins on it, he said nothing in particular, so I went and looked at it and liked the Special in a heart beat.
My Aurora will always be missed, but for nowI got to get back on track. I did look for a 2nd Gen Aurora, but the prices were ridiculous with some what low miles, but let's say that for the same price I could get a better deal on the Special with a ton of options, so that's why I settled at the end with this one.
Will get pictures soon.

The Special M's from 2002-2004 came with projector style headlights and Xenon bulbs, turn signals on the side mirrors, a sport body kit, special badges on the sides and trunk, carbon fiber trimming for dash and doors, tire pressure monitoring system, crystal clear taillamps, a lower suspenion, 18 inch spoke wheels with Michelin high performance tires, dual chrome exhaust tips, 250 horse power, base model had like 200 horse power, and a full size spare, an extra 18 inch wheel in the trunk, Also the Special M's only came in 3 colors Light Silver, Deep Blue & Black, and all of the Special M's that I saw had black leather interior. I found on the web a picture of what my Special M looks like,

so does the 300 handle better than the aurora? is it faster?

The dropped suspension and larger wheels does make a difference, it has about the same horse power as the Aurora, but the 300 Special has a bit better sound do to the dual exhaust, I got to find out what kind of exhaust system is in there, because everytime I start the car, I can hear the exhaust with a nice vroom sound.

Sweet man, nice ride (even if it's not an Aurora ) and I'm looking forward to the pics! Heck, you can even post them in the "My Aurora" section. ;D Do you think you'll keep the factory 18's on year-round, or be shopping for some summer chrome?

Ha! I was right! Right on Javi....hopefully in due time you can give us some honest feedback on the car...I'm still considering one, but anyway! I bet it suits you well. Enjoy it and do stick around Beauty of a car! *oh ya, the stock M has 200 HP, the M Special has 255 cuz of the reworked exhaust*

Yea, I was just about to post something too.
I thought all Chrylser LHX cars came with the 2.7 or the 3.5 which I thought made 170/250 respectively.

Yea, I was just about to post something too. I thought all Chrylser LHX cars came with the 2.7 or the 3.5 which I thought made 170/250 respectively. Between 1998 and 2001, the Intrepid and Concorde were available with 190 hp 2.7L or 225 hp 3.2L V6s, both of which shared their basic designs with the 3.5. After '01, the LHS was dropped, the Concorde moved to fill its spot (inheriting the 250 hp 3.5 as an option), and the 3.5 moved into the Intrepid, replacing the 3.2 across the lineup.

Heck, you can even post them in the "My Aurora" section. ;D Do you think you'll keep the factory 18's on year-round, or be shopping for some summer chrome? You know I was thinking about that, I'll probably stay with the 18's all around for now, I think I'm going to save a little cash to buy that 4th wheel that got damaged in the accident, then eventually I will put on my 20" Enkie's, I made some research and they should bolt on, I guess the Aurora and the Special M have the same bolt pattern. Sweet looking car! Congrats and use it in good health (and use it safely). Oh you you better believe I'm going to take care of this one, you have to, plus I have 2 kids, so I got to be safe. Ha! I was right! Right on Javi....hopefully in due time you can give us some honest feedback on the car...I'm still considering one, but anyway! I bet it suits you well. Enjoy it and do stick around Beauty of a car! *oh ya, the stock M has 200 HP, the M Special has 255 cuz of the reworked exhaust* Yup, you were right all along Jim, man, so far I'm really happy with the car, I'm in a way still trying to break her in, the other day I barely hit 6000 miles, But yeah I'll be sticking around, I'm still a big Aurora fanatic and will help out any Aurora owner whatever way that I can in modifing their vehicle or just plain advise. Awesome car Javi, I love that color blue. That is for sure my favorite color, I had a seen a black Special M, and it looked nice but a bit plain, maybe because I had already owned that color before, never had a Deep Blue sedan before. Nice car Javi. I guess we're gonna have to morph into a Chrysler club pretty soon. I really liked the Special M, specially looking at it in person, I mean if you really want to experience this vehicle you have to go see one and feel it. The Base 300M is so-so, this one takes the cake.

You right custom88, it is a metallic paint color, called Deep Saphire Blue. I came ever so close to getting an M Special, and ya, I still really like em, but I gotta be happy with what I got. Keep enjoying the M Javi...looks good on ya! Thanks Jim, I will put up some more new photos, I got a bunch of stuff that I want to show you all, now that I got a new digital camera, this one at least is a 5.0 MP, the one I had before was a 1.8 MP.
