Mods can you please register at www.pcper.com and check how they have it setup, its so much easier and nicer than what we have here. I know its different software but maybe somthing can be learned from it.

There's nothing we can do about it. But I agree, the search is pretty poor. It also is pretty incomplete in what it returns. I believe threads that have not been accessed since they did the last upgrade aren't indexed in the search. Old stuff pretty much never shows up.

Tips on searching at our utility:
- Change "Posts Within the Last" to 999 days from the default 7 - Change "Maximum Results" to 50 (or so) from the default 10 - Change "View Results As" to threads (collapsed) from the default posts (expanded)
You can check or uncheck the different sections of the forum as needed. Searching for posts by a certain person never seems to work quite right, but I am generally quite successful using those tips above when searching keywords.
Unfortunately as Aurora40 stated, the operation of our search is something over which we have no control.
