I was turning right in a two lane turn lane, when a F250 with a HUGE grill guard swung wide and took out the back right side of my Aurora. Then he gets out and tries yelling at me for not knowing how to turn. Got all his info and watched the cops give him a ticket, haha, and then fought with his ins. for almost 2 months. I guess they got tired of me calling twice a day and finally approved all repairs. On the plus side the right rear window was being held up by a 2x4 and they fixed that on their dime too. Got her back good as new.

OUCH I bet that cost them a bunch to cut out the old 1/4 panel and weld/blend in the new one. Glad to see they fixed it, instead of totaling it. Way to stay after them.

i saw your car in another thread and wondered why we hadn't heard this yet. good thing it wasn't your front end, or namely the hood, then it would have been a total loss with ins. , maybe a good thing 4 u !?

I was wondering when this would come. thanks for sharing! I dont like ford trucks either, and for the most part i really dont like the people that drive them (dont worry folks, im sure most of you aurora/fseries owners out there are cool! lol)
im surprised the damage isnt worse. do you have any after-repair pix?

Jayhawk Motorsports has a big F250 that we pull our trailer with, I like it. I've never had any problems handling it, of course I know how to drive correctly though. I'm glad you got her fixed, it would've sucked if they had totaled it.

I am surprised as well. Looks like a lot of work for a little 'ol Aurora. Although, an 01 with only 80k on the clock probably still books around 5.5k, so it was probably worth the repair.
Glad to hear it all worked out

I'm sure it depends on what insurance you have but i couldn't see any insurance company dropping $6k in repairs on a 01 with 120k on the clock. Just sayin'

I think that the total for repairs was $4900. I don't understand why they didn't total it, but I'm glad they didn't! Also, I think ins. companies use wholesale values not Blue Book values when looking at totaling out cars. If that is the case I really don't understand, but I'm happy she's all better.

You're car looks similar to Bentley Arnage in the signature: But nevertheless I'm glad I have the Aurora, not the Bentley - it looks and sounds much better Besides Jeremy Clarkson said Arnage is uncomfortable - I'm not sure how is it possible, but I haven't ever driven any Bentley.

Guys really? The Bentley reminds you of a Hyundai? Look at when those models debuted. It's not Bentley's fault Hyundai flat out copied them. A Bentley looks like a Bentley. The Hyundai looks like plagiarism. The Arnage (T especially) is a nice car for what it is. There are a couple Mercedes with 4 more cylinders that I'd take first though...

well yea we all know that they copied bentley for it however you just can't sit and look at the bentley and think "hmmm I can get that exact same type of look for $3 grand or so" instead of what bentley is asking for theirs

Still don't follow. Are you saying because of Hyundai copying them, Bentley should have changed the styling? Or because there's a cheapo Hyundai available with similar styling, they'd just buy the Hyundai instead of forking over 10 times the amount or whatever the difference is for the Bentley?
On both fronts I would response with a strong NO. For styling, it's just like all these losers riding around in 300's thinking they have a baby Rolls Royce (not saying ever 300 owner, just those that like to pretend). They can't be more wrong. You don't have a RR, you have a Chrysler with a garage interior... On the second, styling is probably the 10th or 11th thing the average Bentley buyer considers.

well yea I know what you mean both the hyundai and chrysler tried to copy something that wasn't theres and did a piss poor job specially on the chrysler for the interior as they are at least in my opinion the worst interior ever.
on a second note what I ment was if someone was in the market for such a hideous box of a car like that they would choose the Hyundai or Kia as it is much cheaper
