I can honestly say I had the time of my life! it was great to have all these people come together! next year we are aiming for twenty auroras! ^^ haha, I gotta say I laughed when I saw that pic!! ;D No ones going to let me forget about that darn blueberry surprise Yes, it was a blast...was there ever a doubt it wouldn't be and 10 Auroras in one place...it was an awesome sight remember how scotty gave his # to anyone going to the meet who wanted it?...yeah, he conveniently left his cell phone at the camp site...LOL I took just a few pix today but haven't had a chance to look at them yet, in fact I left my camera in the car...so maybe tomorrow I'll have some pix for you.

Tony unloading his trailer Queens. 10 Auroras in Aurora!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Still the record Meet. Me taking a picture of Kay taking a picture of our caravan. The stalker lady showed up at my house. ;D Thanks to all that came out and made it a success, especially all that had to drive more than 2 miles to the show. That would be everyone except me. Tony and Kay came over to the house afterwards to ride out the storm that came thru and we had a blast. Jack, you need to type my phone number in correctly next time. We were waiting for your call.

great meet though, and that pace car is just as nice to drive as looks!

Awesome Phots Everyone!! looks like you all had a Blast!! Must have been interesting to see the Two Auroras Trailered there! lol it was even more interesting when tony (aurorarancher) made dave climb on top of his suburban to get the "perfect" shot of the cars at the preserve! pretty interesting I wont lie. And of course kay and I got a little bit of a talking too about our antennas from tony (they wont retract) but everybody seemed to have a good time, I wish I could have snapped a picture of tony when he was directing traffic as we left the water towers ;D

Great time indeed everyone, thanks for taking the time to meet up! In addition to "most cars at a club meet" award, we also get the "most differing state residents" award! We had Illinois, Michigan, Kentucky, and Iowa represented this year, an amazing turnout indeed. ;D aura1 and tpunk, I wondered about you guys during that storm... imagining you trying to set up some tent in the darkness, rain, lightning, and wind! Glad to hear you both made it through okay. I've got some more unique photos I'll get posted this week.

P.S. Dave (rustymutt) was our officially unofficial ACNA photographer at the meet, since he had the "real" camera equipment and know-how... here is a link to his photo album from the day's events: home.comcast.net/~rustymutt/aurora2009/index.htm

Made home in one piece. 1st of all, we had a blast. Nice meeting everyone and being able to put a face to a name. Andy, I'm bummed about messing up the number. We were looking forward to it. Thanks again. Will try to get some pics up myself in the next couple of days, if any are worthwhile. Closing on a refinance tomorrow. Had an eventful trip home. Stopped in Indiana for lunch. Turned off the Garmin to take in with me. Don't like to leave it in the car. Put it back up after eating and the contraption won't turn on. Plugged it into the computer at home, still nothing. Just over a year old and probably out of warranty. Another problem, pulled in the driveway to get the mail and the car is hissing at me. Sounds that I've either got a line off to one of the rear shocks or something. Good excuse to replace them, if necessary. Heck, they've got 72k on them.

Great PICS Dave. For all to know, can you put names/caption by each photo on your page. ;D I and my kids, Ben (girlfriend Brooke) and Addie all had a good time The Pace car is the only trailer Queen. My son Ben and Brooke are only 15 but are driving with supervision. Hence the need for the trailer this year. Hopefully by this time next year we will have 3 or more cars to bring. The dogs and food were great. I hope to be able to make it to the Aurora, MO. meet later this year, keep us posted. You guys are welcome to drive the Pace Car anytime. It is Hard to keep something like that all to myself. Again you are welcome.

I cam also tell my kids one day that I got to drive a pace car....wont tell them it wasnt on a track....lol thanks SOOO much for that experience, its one I will not forget.

To set Aura1 right, our Pace car did not pace the Indy 500. That honor goes to one car for one race. In 2001 it was relegated to Elaine Irwin Mellencamp in a 2001 Olds Bravada on May 27, 2001 - Race day for the Indy 500. The Pace car of ours did the Honors for the Indy cars for the balance of the season. Including the Chicagoland Speedway, Colorado Springs Speedway, Texas Motor Speedway and more. Johny Rutherford drove it approx 1700 miles turning left to pace those races, not the Indy 500. The same Indy Racing League Cars tour the country similar to the NASCAR Series race cars. Sorry to have to set you straight. Thanks again for taking the experience Joyfully. It's not the first time I had to set someone straight, is it Oldsnut. And for Kay, Andy & I are still contemplating your age posting for the World to see!

Just over a year old and probably out of warranty. FWIW, definitely put a call in to Garmin tech support and explain what's going on. I had to call them once for a problem on my Streetpilot and they were very helpful and accommodating. I've heard stories of them sending out free accessories and providing service for out-of-warranty items. No promises there, but it's worth a shot and they might at least be able to speculate what the problem could be.
