Ok so here it is guys, image shack has changed and I noticed that we dont exactly have a thread pertaining to uploading FULL SIZE photos, instead alot of our new members have resorted to thumbnails.
1. I will go ahead and start off with making sure that we all know that the max image size allowed is 640x480 for a posts picture.
2. right under the smiley row is a "choose file" button, that is what you need to click to pick a picture to be uploaded to image shack. The new image shack does not seem to have a way to resize the image so it will have to be resized before posting. (I recommend fast stone photo resizer)
3. Now that you have picked the photo you wish to upload, click "host" right next to the choose file button.
4. A new window is going to pop up in the browser and that will be image shack with the uploaded photo. Now you see the photo in a clickable thumbnail. BUT WAIT scroll down to the bottom of the page and you will see a sentence saying this -"SHOW image to friends". It will be in blue and at the bottom of the page. You cant miss it
5. click "show" and it will direct you to another screen, now scroll all the way over to the right. There you scroll down and you will see a box with three areas to copy a link, this box is also called the "embed this image" box. copy the first one that states "forum".
6. now, exit out of that screen, and paste the link in your reply.
the code that you will paste will look something like this. (not exactly though because each picture will have a different code)

7. Now you see the area I highlighted in red? that will show up on each and every picture that you host from image shck. You will start by highlighting the second {URL= and continue to highlight it until the end. Now press delete. This will take away an annoying ad that would look something like this
now the photo you are left with will be the one you chose!
Completed product
Hope this will clear up any issues the new comers have!
