Back to the Classics, and aura1's 1998! It may be down, but not out my friends...

WOW
The MFA notification was the last thing I expected to see sitting in my message box. First off let me thank all of you for taking the time to vote for my well cared for aurora. Even though I have only owned lucy for about a year and a half I feel like ive owned her since new. First off I'd like to give credit where credit is due, it was her sister, that saved my life back in february of 2008, where I flipped her down a ravine a few times and I lost consciousness. The car appeared almost untouched other than a broken sunroof and some skid marks on the hood/roof. It was than that I realized how protected I was, and thats what led to me purchasing lucy. Now lucy and I have had many fights, as any man would promptly tell you. But thats what happens when you have such an amazing "woman" in your life. When she feels the need to go shopping it usually ends up with me having no money at the end of the month. But truthfully I wouldnt have it any other way. The car has had thousands of dollars worth the parts put into it and shows its gratitude each and every time I step into the jetlike cockpit, where every single amenity is within arms reach. But its not just the money I've invested in the car, its the time. Between the weekly hand washing regiments, the bi weekly waxes, and the once a month details, I've become closer to this car than some people do their wives. The first time I was faced with the prospect of letting her go I cried. And with fate coming and the likelihood of my baby girl finding another home I find myself pained to write this. This is the same car that has saved my mothers life, the same car that I have driven EXTREMELY hard, the same car that I could park in the garage at night and know for a fact it would start when I came out in the morning. She's never left me stranded, and she always makes it home. Even if it is on its last ounce of fuel, or a donut for a tire. She never gives up.
I owe this car more than I could type, so now that its her turn to shine HERE SHE IS!
Did I mention this is the best birthday present ever? ;D
