Count me in! I will request the time off from work next month. Not saying anything against last years meet, but I felt a bit out of place. Hopefully with a few younger members around I won't feel that way.

Okay I have to defend myself real quick. My thought process goes like this: - I'm in College, therefore extra funds are scarce. - I've been to Missouri for two years now and it has only gotten better. Randy is a great guy and a fantastic host. It doesn't cost me anything to stay there besides gas, drag strip cover, etc. - I know Missouri is fun, so if I can only go to one place then I'll go there. I'm already putting money aside each month to go there, I can't really afford two meets right now. - More importantly, MO is cheaper. It's 3 hours there and 3 hours back... that's less than one 8 hour trip UP to Illinois.
I dunno they're just excuses really... if I have a stable job over the summer like I hope to then it might not be an issue. I'm going to try to come no doubt about that I just don't know if I'll be able to.

Its getting hot n here wanna take off all my clothes j/k lol...... My wife is just a few years older than me and I am 31. It depends if she works or not she works a 12-18 hour shifts and works at 2 different hospitals as an ER Dr. So she is always on the run but makes a good living and they pay for some of the repairs. But she may come 2 since she loves the Aurora and be something fun and interesting.

Just checking in. Work has been very busy. Traveling with the 95 w/Autobahn to/from Green Bay area and mpg seems to stay near 27 to 28 on the hwy. ;D Should have another 2nd Gen in the stable by June. A church friend is letting me purchase her '02 with only 70,000 for $3,000. This car will be mainly for my sweet Adeline when she turns 16 next year (3/17/95). Ben wants the 97 GMC this year when he turns 16 (3/17/94). Guess I will keep on with the 95 Autobahn & play once in awhile with the Pace Car!

WHAAA! Ben wants the suburban? Wow I would be out of my mind wanting something that gets -12 MPG hwy at 16. I would be begging for the pacer 8)

The meet is at the Les Arends Forest Preserve, in Batavia IL. But it's so close to Aurora, IL that we have to call the event "Auroras in Aurora" Plus we go there for the photo opp. Here's a wiki map of the location: wikimapia.org/2336664/Les-Arends-Forest-PreserveBut I'm sure more Googling (or locals chiming in) can get you better info on the best way to get there from MI.

Yes I'm sorry that we will miss the meet this year. We were looking forward to it. I got an opportunity to go to San Antonio for 10 months. The financial incentives made it hard to pass up. Taking the Grand Am and will drive down on Feb 20th, which is 3 days after we get back from our Daytona vacation. I'll be leaving the Aurora with my wife, where it will be parked in the garage when she 's not using it. If I took her to Texas, she'd have to bake in the hot sun everyday and I don't want to drive her in my dirty work clothes. Will try to stay in touch with the forum while I'm there. Take care.

Sorry to hear you won't be able to make it Jack, but completely understandable! Sometimes "real life" takes precedence.

Okay, assuming no drastic changes in my life, I would love to attend this "national" event. Got the location info in the thread. What's the history of this event, and what's the deal on Springfield?
As a semi-professional Graphic Artist, I can provide a t-shirt design if anyone has the logistics to produce it. Or is that too low class for this level of quality automobile?
