Please understand this is not my normal driving style but I have noticed this twice. If you are in reverse and floor the car, it almost shuts down. It will keep running but almost no power, If you then immediatly shift into drive and floor it, it just falls on its face. No backfire or anything, but just bareley runs at all. This is the only time it does it.....

Gotta be the tranny, I know the gearing in reverse is very low...

hmm....possibly a torque converter maybe? Possibly not distributing the power so a sensor kicks in and puts it in limp or shuts her down? Just going on a limb here.

Make sure you come to a complete stop before changing gears!
