well, here's my first problem with my new car.
radiator fans wont kick on, causing an engine overheat. this is bad. i do not like putting my headgasket at risk..
possible blown fuse? we ran wires from the +12 volt box to one of the 2 fans to get me home.
any ideas at all?

If it is not one of the fuses. It could be the Relay or the sending unit. On my 1996 the cooling Fan Motor Relay is to the right of the windshield wiper motor on the Center Rear Of the Engine Compartment, yours (1995) may be in the same place. Part Number 12193602 (1996) I don't know where the sending unit is. I heard that if you have the air conditioning on the fans should run automaticaly, just to check them out. If you can't get the repair manual for your Aurora year try www.alldatadiy.com/Isnibs

Cooling fans wont come on until 215-225F anyway.
There may not be anything wrong at all, which is 100-110C....which makes sense. My cruising temperature hovers just under 95C (203F)
I wouldnt worry if this is the case.
And the engine goes into Limp Home mode if it gets to hot anyway no?

There must be something seriously wrong with the cooling system. The engine should never really get that hot, the worst I have seen mine is sitting in traffic for 10 mins, AC on, dead stop, 90 degrees plus humidity. Fans never came on but it didnt get that hot to justify the fans.
I would check your entire cooling system to be safe.

we are, we will probably be replacing the waterpump in the next few days, the car will get to like 230, then just drop to 200 and be fine

the car will get to like 230, then just drop to 200 and be fine I'd replace the thermostat and make sure there is no air trapped in the engine coolant passages.
