Thanks, Rick

Rick, Proboards (who hosts this forum) actually provides a format in your Profile for the avatar you'd like to display. Just like any photo here (your sig or posted in a thread), the photo for your avatar will need to be hosted someplace first. Check out the FAQ thread at the top of this forum, and there are links to 3 different threads on photos hosting. It helps if you have the photo downsized to something very small, before storing it at one of those hosting sites for your avatar. For instance, a photo taken directly from your digital camera will be WAY too large. You can use a Paint program or any other photo editor to resize the photo. The maximum size Proboards (our forum host) allows for avatars to 100x100 pixels. To set the avatar and size, click on "Profile" above, then "Modify Profile" to change your personal settings. Scroll down and you'll see a section with various boxes for the avatar. In one of them you'll enter the URL (web address) of your uploaded photo from Photobucket, Imageshack, our own photo hosting (all described in the FAQ links I referenced earlier) and see how it looks from there. It may sound confusing, so post back with any additional questions! The best way to get familiar with internet photo hosting and displaying is just start playing around with different options. Opening a free account at Photobucket.com is a good way to start, since that's what many folks use.

Lookin' good, and nice plane! The "lines" look a little jagged because the aspect ratio is a bit off from the original image. You can play around with the pixel dimensions in your profile to get it right (if you really care) but it's no big deal either way.

FYI, the image is 100x75. I had initially fixed it for you, but I don't know if you prefer it the way it is (at 100x55). This is what it looks like normally:
