Good evening all,
Today I was driving along on the highway, hot as heck 98 degrees, and when I came off the ramp my Oil Pressure alarm started going off. Not knowing what to do I still drove to a safe place. I checked the oil, just had replaced last week, it was about 1/2 quart low, so I added that and the alarm stopped. Then 3 other times today, the alarm sounded then would go off. Any ideas from anyone.
Thanks,
Ryan

same thing happened to me
drain your oil and get a case of valvoline maxlife 10-w40 and a delco 81 (i think) oil filter, and lastly, a bottle of lucas oil treatment (you could also pick up a a bottle of bars leaks, im guessing you are starting to have the oil leak, i used it, and it patched my whole leak up)
after about 3 qts, add the lucas, then finish the oil
the alarm goes off at 5 psi, and mine did, and after this, it stays at about 10 psi during an idle

I have a 1997 Aurora, what does everyone else's oil PSI stay at while idling after a few minutes. Just curious and trying to detect what is wrong

9PSI and nothing less...I checked today, that was waiting 2 mins at a light, in traffic at operating temps.
