Was it damaged body wise or just had bad paint? Either way, it does look nice!

Car door looks quite nice. I have a couple of questions for you. I just purchased a 2001 Aurora with two doors that are damaged. I have located the doors for replacement. My questions are; do you paint professionally? What type of equipment do you need to paint the doors? Thanks.

That paint line's pretty bad, I would've painted it all the way up to the trim.. pop it off and put the tape line behind it.

yeah the paint line is pretty noticable, but other than that it looks good. If you want to get rid of it here's how you can do it . Get some 220 sand paper and lightly sand everything you painted and be sure to sand the line out of it. Next plastic/tape off everything that paint might spray except the door that is getting the paint. After you have that done go ahead and plastic/tape off the top of the door from just under the door handle up. Okay now what ya want to do is start at the bottom of the door and work your way up, as your doing your back and forth motion start to fade(lighten) your sprays as soon as you pass the sanded area to stopping before you get to the tape. This will fade the new paint into the old and leave no line, you must keep your spray can 6 to 8 inches away and do slow (not too slow) srokes. When your done throw a couple coats of clear coat on it in the same way and wax the whole door when its dry and it will look perfect
