wow what a blast.
i didnt plan for this test drive, had been out looking around the lots and found this beauty tucked in between some kias.
car was way overpriced. sticker was 26999, and the thing on the mirror said 24,500. ive seen them with lower mileage for about 20k asking price at other dealers.
car came from a chrysler auction, a off lease car. clean as hell, not a ding on it. it was well taken care of from what i could tell.
im not too big a fan of dodge products, they come off being cheap, with lots of cheap feeling and looking plastics, and out of all the auto makers i think they rank dead last.
but they know how to make a good motor (Hemi) that is.
i test drove the regular 300c's and really wanted to get behind the wheel of a srt.
compared to the regular 5.7, it feels as if you could put down a quarter throttle in the srt to achieve floored throttle in the regular RT.
the car had gobbs of torque. i easily roasted the tires even without the ESP turned off.
car was just a blast, the interior in the SRT felt more upclass, Suede in the seats that was really soft and spongy, the leather wrapped around the steering wheel had chrome accents on the ends and the leather felt great to the touch. if they had these touches in all there cars. im sure they would get more higher marks then they do.
let me just say if you never drove a hemi before, please go out and do so, they are so fun and great on gas to boot.
while beating on this srt 6.1 i achieved 15mpg and with talking to others it can easily get 20mpg on the road with light pedaling.
