My front tires have excessive wear on the outside (7K miles), and more wear on passenger side than driver side. I feel sometimes the car pulls to one side so I can't drive without hands on the steering wheel( )... How often do i need an alignment? What are the signs for need of alignment?

What are the signs for need of alignment? everything you just mentioned! car pulling to one side, won't trek straight down road & excessive wear. that's a lot of wear for only 7k! as dumb as it sounds check your tire pressures before you get one. you may just have one side front & rear low on air

My LR tire keeps losing pressure. I need to get it checked. I've had that problem for at least 7K miles... didn't think it's a big issue...

still get an alignment done anyways. a alignment check ( not the actual alignment ) is only like $20 so you can go that route and figure out if you truely need one. but you do the way your explaning your tires even if they are low like your saying it is due to camber. did you have struts, mounts or anything similar done recently?

So the car usually needs an alignment after suspension jobs like replacing the shocks? I think the tires are wearing too fast on mine. 20K miles almost need new tires. I tried to take my hands off the wheel but the car usually pulls to the left, sometimes right, and rarely stay in the lane... I am so confused.... All I know is I have to keep correcting the direction. Does it sound like an alignment problem? IIRR when my friend's trunk needs an alignment it always pulls to the left.

Yes it needs an alignment, when you have suspension work done, when your tires are not wearing evenly, when you let go of the wheel and it goes anywhere but straight.
