Wester's Garage has what are called Dealers. This is similar to how DiabloSport does tuning. In both cases the the company builds the tune and the dealer or customer installs the tune with a "Read & Write" device. This does not allow for ANY type of editing on site. Now both Wester's and DiabloSport sell a tuning package, but we are not talking about that. The picture below is from Wester's website and it is the dealer package

I will post an email shortly that will explain why his dealers have Northstar's listed. I think the one in Texas and one in New York that have the Northstar's listed are the DPS dealers that members here have refered to

I see you have 96 to 00 4.0L Aurora's list now, but they are under V6 cars not V8 and you have taken out the Speed Limiter only on the 4.6L Caddy's Do you have more to offer now? The 96 to 99 Olds and Caddys use the same PCM#. Can DDT read these?

From: Wester's Sent: September 30, 2009 To: A.J. Subject: Re: ? Sometimes our dealers have no idea what's going on. We do the tuning for all our dealers, they copy info from our website often without knowing how 'over their head' they're getting. No, we don't plan to add the actual Cadillac ECM any time soon because of all the copycat stuff going on out there.

Remove the 2 second downshift delay? Set the Stoich to 14.2? Remove the PE delay? Step the PE per TPS%? Change the shift times? Switch the VATS to serial form what ever it is? Shut it off, BTW I think it is another 15.2 to 1 AFR program and it has a K29 noise control option (2 sec down shift delay)

I hope this has cleared up any questions about who can tune these PCM's Lyndon does not allow his dealers to tune these PCM’s. They have them listed and they will tell you they can, but when it comes down to it they will be sending your PCM out up to him.

I don't think there's a problem if one of my dealers sends us something to tune. I'm not sure where this 'misconception' exists. Our dealers can send us files from the 1999 Shelby, and we can send them back via email...or do a custom build based on the LS1 ECM. As for the 1996-1999 Aurora or Cadillac--our dealers and the public generally just send us the computer for flash upgrading.

If one has the ability to flash what do you charge for the tune?

50% off till February end. $247.50 (+freight) for a full tune. Speed limiter removal $100+freight. PS...there's no way to make a switchable tune with the 1996-1999 ECM, so people can stop asking about it. Lyndon Westers Garage www.westersgarage.com

I will do yours for the cost of shipping and the cost of a second PCM if you want a second PCM. We have full control over all of the parameters in the calibration as of now. We also offer the Dual Chip system or in this case you could have up to 4 seperate chips that allows you to run different maps

Just to be clear caleditor, you have no affiliation with Wester's Garage, correct?
To me it sounds like Wester's just has one team that does the programming, the dealers send it off to them and they do it and send it back to you. Not that "they don't know what they're doing," more like the salesman at the dealer isn't quite sure of the specifics.

I am not using Lyndon's Dealer Service. We do these in house. Any issues we might have we have an agreement with our competition that he will help us. madtuner.com/Look at Ion's home page. Look at the date of my tuning information thread and then compare it to when Ion started offering Northstar tuning. Ask your self Why would Ion help PCM Calibrator? I have information that will aid both of us and I am willing the share it unlike others.

Lyndon:
I've inquired before but it's been a while, was just wondering if you can perform the service I need for my application. It is as follows:
95 Aurora 4.6 swapped -.020+ Wiseco pistons -Eagle Rods (3lbs off rotating assembly between this and pistons over stock) -Ported intake manifold -Ported TB -True Cold Air Intake -Worked heads (3 angle valve job, ported exhaust, stiffer valve springs) -CHRFAB 272 Cams -Headers -True duals into an X-pipe and 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust -Built 4t80e Trans from Engineered performance
The 4.6 swap and the cams are where I need the biggest amount of tuning. I have the cam specs, and I know my ported TB flows over 17cfm over stock alone, not sure on the intake. Basically just need to make this project daily driver friendly and maximize performance. Can you help out? Thanks

I have been real busy trying to get the first of the 2 old Vettes done. I have 1 more CNG conversions to knock on Tuesday and then 1 more before the end of the month. I had to jump on the 38 Panel that we are doing and tell the body shop to cut the firewall off and redo it again. I hope to get those thingy's out to all the guys that are getting the other ones just to prove a point. Look at the old Vette aurorah.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=Intros&thread=24161&page=1

Sent my ECM to Wester's earlier this week.
Of course, it'll be a while before the car actually runs, but I figured the $200 savings of sending it off now were worth it...

$2999.99 is for our dealer software program. Not for an individual program on someones' computer.
We have dealers around the world that we send programming to...instead of shipping computers back and forth to their customers.
Hope that clarifies what others here are looking at.
