Cleaned my whole engine bay with "Gunk". Worked ALRIGHT. Didn't really impress me too much but it looks better than it did. Also painted the engine cover and washer fluid box Attachments:

oh and I also put black wire loom around most of the hoses. Looks better than the ugly grey rubber tubing

You should have another go at it with some Simple Green. Spray down your engine bay with this, let it sit for a few minutes (NO longer than 5) and then wash it all off. Make sure to get it -all- off! |

If you like Simple Green try the Crystal, its a low odor recipe. Make sure you get full concentration

Been meaning to do this, mines not that dirty, but it could be more clean haha. And for anyone that thinks you're crazy for doing it, when my last 'rora was totaled, the adjuster actually made note of how clean the engine bay was, which in turn bumped up the value of my car!
