Hey guys,
I got a small annoyance, in my 98, when I turn at low speeds 20mph or under, my car will SOMETIMES shake when I turn. It shakes as I turn the wheel. I never notice it when I am going faster. And it really only does it on sharp turns. I'm gonna check power steering fluid tommorow. But any ideas?
Any help is appreciated.

Like a sharp vibration? Is it the steering shudder that was in a TSB for the newer models?
Make sure your tires are up to PSI. Mine will still do it but not so much with the PSI correct

Tires up to PSI. I only have 61,000miles on the car. The shaking i think is power steering related. Do 1st gens have that steering firmness thing? It is a sharp vibration, it is fast, and only last as long as you are turning the wheel. Yours shakes too?

Yeah There was a GM bulliten about it, a bracing kit for the power steering line can be purchased, but it says quote "It still may not stop the shudder" or something like that.
Yeah mine does the same thing when like turning off a road into a parking lot, its called steering shudder

My '97 does the same sometimes, more of a groan / shudder. Only at very low speeds with the wheel turned sharply, such as when parking -- and not all the time either. I had another GM that did the exact same thing and always chalked it up to air in the pwr steering system and never did anything about it. Steering was fine in that car even at 200K+ so it's probably more of an annoyance than anything else.
I could see how bracing the line would help if that was vibrating against something. The power steering can also be bled if there is air trapped. It involves raising the front and moving the wheel back and forth and back and forth a bunch of times.
Y, 1st gens have Magnasteer (light at low speeds, firmer at higher).

Mine was activating the TCS at very low speeds on a left hand corner when I had an odd sized tire on the front left. Gave me a quick shudder similar to how it feels when you are coming to a stop on lightly packed snow. Went away with new tires.

Seems to be an issue with 96 up, another fault design in the suspension/steering system.

I dont see a feasable way of fixing it, unless you find the TSB and get the part number for the line bracing kit, but then in the TSB it even says it doesnt always cure it

This is a remote possibility. If you also feel any shudder at all while applying light brake pressure at low speeds in a straight line, you may have a tire tread separating from the core. You can jack the car up, rotate the tire as quick as you can and watch for any deviation or apparent movement in the tread pattern. A tire that is separating on one edge or the other could give that feeling in a low speed turn. I've had two tires do this over the years.

You might try bleeding the system in case there's air trapped. That can cause a shudder at low speeds. Pretty simple and cheap to do - do a google search and you'll get plenty of how tos. If you really want the TSB and can't find it online, try your public library. Mine used to have full Alldata access to just about any service manual I ever needed, plus TSBs and the ability to print. I poked around and found this # but not sure if it's the right one. Bleeding really does help. Sometimes you have to do it more than once.
Changing to Dex VI helped Intrigue 2.

Ok, so this shake is annoying me and I am willing to put forth the work. If any of you happen to find the part online, post it here.
Btw, the problem is the power steereing outlet hose on the 95-98's, is the right length to vibrate at it's natural frequency, when it doesn't get enough fluid pushed through it (i.e, low speeds). The fix is a power steering hose that is routed a little differently and fastned in extra places. Which is the part I need from the TSB, I just need to find it. If I find this part, I will do a write-up btw.
