Just a warning... looks like copper. Copper will what they call work harden from vibration. Make sure to use some rubber bushing or supports to keep it to a minimum. How much cooling do you think this will achieve?

It seems rather short/small to provide an excessive amount of cooling. In my opinion, adding a few more chambers or bends might achieve a better result. I guess that any amount of cooling is better than none, though.

Similar in idea to what is on the 98 Intrigue for the power steering. They have a steel loop attached to the back side of the front subframe cross member. It was gone on the 99.
The real question is what oil temperatures are you running? If you don't do a lot of towing or operation in very high ambient (110F), it's doubtful that you need to go to the trouble at all. It's also possible that it may be easier to do something like they did on the 3400 - it's got the cooler integral to the filter base with bypass water plumbed through it.

Didn't know you were planning to put fins on it. Makes much more sense now. My Mercury Mountaineer has a small cooler like that for power steering as well as the 300M I used to have. I figure one of those would work just as well and would probably fit.
