Often times I will visit the website and look around without logging in. Some times I have nothing to add to conversation but often I come across a thread and want to reply. However, whenever you login it will return you to the homepage. Leaving you to navigate the forum to the thread you wanted to reply.
Is there some setting you admins/mods can alter for this not to happen? It is a minor inconvenience, but an inconveneince none the less. I figure this is kinda like the 3 letter no search function though. Nothing you can do. Just thought I'd ask though!

I found stomething interesting. If you copy and paste the URL in the address bar after logging in, it will take you there, but your status will return to Guest. It happens the other way around if you log out.

I usually keep the home page open in another tab and log in, then return to the tab where I want to comment and refresh to get the reply link displayed.

I just stayed logged in all the time, at least here on my own laptop. Nobody else that uses this computer visits ACNA, so I'm not too worried (from a security standpoint) about the browser cookie.

I have looked on the support board for small fixes such as this. We have found a couple things that have been helpful (code written by proboards members) but I'm almost positive that the issue you are talking about (I experience it as well) is an internal thing. The issue has been brought up on proboards support before. The last time I checked was over a year ago so I'll look into it again to see if there are any new developments. I browse around the support board about once a month to check for updates, but haven't seen anything about this recently.
If someone has developed a fix using HTML then it wouldn't be a problem at all to add it as it will be some sort of code that Jack or I could throw into the global header. If proboards fixed the issue internally then there wouldn't be anything we could do as admins to change it; they would update all the boards at once.

I usually just tell my browser to go back twice after logging in and it refreshes the page, so I can reply. I know it's not really a solution, but it takes me so little time, I never really found this annoying
