I really wish you would have made this meet earlier in the Fall. It is my insanely busy time of year and would have come down for it. I have relatives not to far away to stay with.
I have to go out to Rockford IL for a wine tasting event and Mrs Nut and I will be having a mini meet with Kay.

Sounds like fun! Sorry we couldn't have made it earlier but I had to get married and Randy and Lance were kind enough to move the meet. Haha
Lathan is meeting me at work tomorrow at 230 and we're caravaning from there. Last call!

I'm bringing my tent. It's a four person so there will be room if you like, but the car thing would work too. I'm hoping we'll all be able to sleep on Randy's floor tho. ;D maybe go hang out by the lake or whatever but go home at night? I dunno. We'll figure it out.

It's supposed to be pretty warm this weekend, so we will talk about the camping thing. I am in favor of it. Friday night will be at my house, Saturday night will be at the lake if that's ok with everyone. If you get cold easy, drink, fire. Oldsnut, it's usually a little sooner, and next year we will be back to our standard meet with the car show, maybe you could make it to that one.

Sounds good to me, we'll talk about it. I have my tent packed just in case.
The Scion is packed and ready to go, I'm just sad that I can't bring the Olds. I'll show her to Lathan today to prove that it's still here at least, albeit in pieces. ;D

ya it's supposed to be warm in the day time, fri, sat & sun but a cold front is hitting saturday night and is to get down around freezing along with and a few inches of rain by sunday. Monday is only going to get up to 40 or so! you guys have fun camping lol. i hate the cold. got the news on my car and unfortunately it's the backup for me. My mechanic ran into "a whole bunch" of fried / burnt / toasted wires behind and below the rear coil pack. Part of them are to the Jet module. It just won't be fixed in time for the meet. See you guys saturday morning

We'll be sticking the headlights in tonight. I'll back him up on the CCFL thing, there's no way a diffuser would fit in there. ;D
Just made it to Randy's. Two Auroras and my lunchbox in the driveway so far. ;D

I doubted the diffuser would fit in, just not enough room. The yellow phosphor is enough to turn me off. Not to mention the amount of failures of the XB LED halos that have been rolling in. There is a new better version being released soon.
Output pics?
At any rate, enjoy yourselves! ;D

We'll throw some up later, just have iPhone quality pics now. Not bad but not enough to capture light output.
Sorry you can't make it, groomslake! Maybe next year.

ok here's a few shots. Bobsblue didn't make it till well after dark and I needed to take off before gator showed up (if he did) Collins' car has transmission hiccups right now so he came in the lunch box / Scion. My car is still under the knife with ICM & PCM wiring replacement, therefore I drove the gutless Cutlass. So what we have is only 2 Auroras in my shots. Lathan's angel eyes headlight mod is so freakin sweet! It's hard to take Collins seriously ya? pictures can't do justice to Lathan's headlight mods The campsite at Stokton Lake I didn't go picture crazy and I'm sure there's more coming from the rest of the crew.

Had a great time all weekend guys! I really appreciate everyone making the trip here. Not much quantity, but definitely lots of quality. We ate out Friday night and finished out the night installing Lathans headlights. Saturday morning we went to the salvage yard and had some fun, saw a lot of Cadillacs and Oldsmobiles, a Buick Ultra, and got plenty of parts off the single '99 classic. Lance showed up at my house and then we continued on to the lake where Bob met up with us, then we had some drinks and camped for the night. Had a great night around the campfire and woke up for some nice pics before the cold front hit. When it did hit, it was pretty sweet, we were on the lakefront and a wall of cold air instantly chilled us down, it was an instant 15-20 degree drop. Had a little adventure on the way home, cold and rainy, and bobsblue ran out of gas in the middle of the road. Chilled out at my house the rest of the morning, looked at some pics, after everyone left I took a big nap. lol

what, a cold front...rain? LOL
Hey explain how in the 4th pic down I'm driving from the passenger side seat. Did you reverse the picture or flip flop it somehow cause that's nutty. I can't tell for certain but looks like Lathan is also driving euro style...a rear view mirror shot I guess? Dang Bob, those pesky fuel sending units!

Yep, it was fun. I'm glad I got to meet you guys and look forward to the next meet! Not only was it fun, but I learned that it takes almost *exactly* one tank of gas to drive from my house to Stockton Lake! lol And yeah, the needle never got to the bottom of the red zone, no low fuel warning on the way in, but first thing in the morning she started biotching at me. Even without driving around for photos, and even going straight to the open gas station first, I don't think I'd have made it. Good times though!

Haha I did the drive 7 hours for a one afternoon meet and drive 7 hours back thing. Not as good for me, but alright for you that are close! At least Bob got to chill with us the next day too lol, even if it was just to take some pictures and run around Missouri's back roads looking for a gas station. ;D
You guys should come down! Andy has already voiced some interest, and Tony has talked about going before.
I bet we may be able to convince Zach to come down too! You guys could caravan. Lol

His dad passed on that morning, he sent me a text saying he would be there next year and to have a good time. Very unfortunate.
The meet was still good though! It was great to meet Bob and Buck. I'm glad you came out with us for a while too, Lance. The thing I'm most glad about, though, is that we got our tents packed up before the storm hit. That would have sucked. ;D We got really lucky with the weather, it was a great night to camp.

Still new, lol. Yeah, Lance, if you look in the pic where you are Euro style you will see a slight blur of blue which is my drivers outer mirror. Nelson, my Aurora and Bobs Aurora are totally different colors.
