Is there a way to retrieve the original window sticker or find out what options are on my 2001? Just bought it and would like to know as much as possible about the car.
The car doesn't seem to have a lot of the optional stuff on it.
Any good stuff on GM sites or anywhere else that I need to look at?
Thanks Randy

Wow. That's a fun Web page, especially the 'Rarities' portion. Seems my '95 Aurora is one of only 124 made with the combination of light teal metallic paint, graphite interior, sun roof, and Autobahn package. I doubt that makes it a collectors' item, but it's still kinda cool.

No Bose. rcarlisle, you should have a RPO tag on the underside of the spare tire cover. Cross reference VIN numbers though, the cover could have come from another vehicle.

Thanks, that's a cool link. The car fax showed it to be a rental in first year, so that's probably why there aren't a lot of apparent options.
Does anyone know if the CD changer wiring is in place if it doesn't have a changer? BMW K1200LT motorcycles have the wiring as part of the harness even if the changer isn't on the bike.
The more I drive it, the better I like it. Hope the wheels don't fall off anytime soon.
Thanks again Randy

Okay looked at it all some more. THe rarest thing I have is the rental fleet codes - haha. 1 of 3000 something... I guess part of the rental deal is the lack of homelink and lack of other cool options. It just has the compartment to put an opener in and push the cover to operate. Have to see if I caqn find a Homelink pod to put up there - I saw a thread on that yesterday. Otherwise, I still love the car more everytime I drive it. It was only a rental for it's first year, then same owner til last year, I think it was.

Yours is at least the second one I've seen that were rental fleet cars. Sounds like you got a good one as it stayed with the same owner for a lot of years. The CD changer harness only came with cars that ordered CD changer. It also got a different head unit as well. Your best CD changer is to do the 3.5 aux input and do a dedicated iPod install.
My Aurora and both my Intrigues were the only ones made to those exact RPO codes. Least common RPO code was the exterior color (1049) followed by sold order (1566) followed by interior trim (2043).

Apparently just a handful of options available. That's kinda good to me. The FE3 was Olds' sport suspension package name for many years, wasn't it? Kinda like Chevy trucks Z71, and so on.

Yes, FE3 is the sportiest Olds' suspension package, and it's been that for many years. But usually, it's an option. This is why we were thinking that maybe some Auroras got a ''touring'' or base suspension. It looks like no.

Costs money now to use the VIN decoder linked earlier.
Another option is to take your VIN to a GM dealer and have them pull the data for the car. I got a four or five page printout on mine maybe a year back, along with a handy dandy list of what the codes mean ...
PS ... calculated for inflation, your car would cost you $59,205.42 in Obama Bucks ...

Thx.
I got my RPO list from the dealer, but this one has me baffled. For example: R6Q CONTROL SALES ITEM NO.16 R7A CONTROL SALES ITEM NO.26 R9A CONTROL SALES ITEM NO.76 and a few more... What is a control sales item? Of course these are not in the FSM either
