Alright guys, so I spent the past 2 months doing R&D on how to make a create/ fabricate a air intake system eliminating the entire stock box and make a nice clean, professional look. I repositioned the pcm and made an aluminum box I got power coated, complete with reflectix heat shielding on the side exposed to the engine, and ventilation on the headlamp side. The box stays cool after hours of driving, its great. I custom cut tubing and routed it right around the box. The box worked out great.nice and strong and houses the pcm perfectly. Overall im extremely pleased with the exhaust note combined with my corsa, it roars if I floor it atthe sweet spots, 20mph, 50-55mph....i without a doubt feel improved acceleration at those mph as well. Even from 70mph and on...it just goes! I think it compliments my exhaust well.... I also noticed my car runs a lot smoother under normal acceleration and the throttle response feels improved over stock. This isnt mind blowing gains here, but overall im pleased. I hope everyone likes my work, tell me what ya think Next step tuning... Hopefully haha

Looks nice and clean, but yeah Sall is correct. Stock I take was cold air, the new I take is now warm air. Some kid of shield or piping the filter out of the engine bay would ensure it is cold air only.

Yea, I got rid of the stock restrictive oem unit. I hated it. It was so big, heavy and space consuming. And the airflow was split between the pcm and filter, then when the air hit the airbox, it went tunneling down a accordian tube to the throttle body. Making an black enclosure for my unit, its in the works...but this is far more direct than the stock unit right now....the sound and performance is awesome. I needa get a video goin

What kind of tubing and what size? Is that a generic cone filter?

I used 3.75" & 4" tubing and the filter is a open faced spectre filter
