Springfield, Ohio......Somebody was trying to outrun the police there with a 3.5. They wound up crashing & rolling over. The roof held up excellently......see the pics in this article. Whoever was driving was killed, though. They were thrown out of the car at the point of impact, because they didn't use the seat belt. Cause of the chase: driving without lights.

Afterwards, it would probably have been better to let him be, so to speak. The policeman could hardly have imagined that this would happen. How did the thief steal an Aurora? Last winter here in Sweden, there were two young people who did not pay for the gas. Police received the track and in nearly 200 km / h continued the chase through residential areas. Highest police officers that night decided to open a bridge further ahead. The young people did not care about all the warnings, they drove over the bridge edge into the pillar straight ahead and down into the icy water. They died instantly. The car every pressed to the back seat.

How did the thief steal an Aurora? The bad boy had to have somehow gotten hold of the key. So far as I know, there's no way of starting a transponder ignition car without the ignition key.

Exactly my thought when I read this, Marc. I changed the ignition switch on my Intrigue. According to the manual, the PCM can only renew (code) a number of new keys. Then turn it off, it locks. A truly secure system.

Dynamic1964......Every time I found out about how a 2G was stolen, in each instance the thief got the keys either because they were left in the car, or taken in a burglary.

Can´t understand those who leave their car with the keys in the ignition, or worse, they're leaving the car with the engine running! Takes only a few seconds, then the car is gone.. Unfortunately, you see this every day, especially trucks, where drivers go into the gas station to shop.
