No car show, we are hoping to go to the drag strip, and also to the gas station area to take some pics, camping will be happening weather permitting, so it should be pretty in tents. Date is not set in stone, if it needs to be changed, speak up and we will see what we can do. ![]() |

Look at that gorgeous purple! My Olds needs a wax in a major way. I had forgotten how nice it looks when it's fresh!
I know that Lathan (lkraft) is coming, and Zach (aura1) is going to do his best to come as well. And I'm sure we'll see Lance there. Who else is coming?!

With work and the family I don't get out of town for much but if it is close I'll come buy and show you the most scratches you have ever seen in a paint job that looks good at 20 feet. |

we generally meet in bolivar, mo at randy's place. like randy said, we are going to try and get to the drag strip and take some pics. other than that, the rest is pretty much up in the air. we would love to have more people meet up with us.

You can compete with Lance's orange peel paint haha. You'll get no judgments from us, an Aurora is an Aurora, and the more the merrier! Zach will be bringing his Mustang down as of now, and says those dates work for him as well. I'm excited! Glad to hear that! You will be closer to the dragstrip, so on Friday, you may want to meet us there instead of at my house. Bring a tent if you want to do the Saturday night camping.

well, i wont be able to be there as early as i usually am. i wont be able to leave hays till at least 11:30 am. i have an exam and wont be able to skip class like i normally do. that would put me in bolivar around 5:00-5:30. what time were we planning on being at the drag strip?

We can always do the strip later at night, but it's nice to get there early so that we can have it more to ourselves.
Zach will be coming into KC Thursday night so that we can put his new exhaust system on his Mustang before the meet. (which is why he wanted to use the lift lol) Lathan, do you want us to wait for you and we can meet and drive down with you like usual? Coming from Hays is a long drive to make solo.

I would probably be in KC by no later than 4. If you guys could wait till then, it would be awesome. If not, then that's fine because I can figure out how to get there. I've driven farther by myself before.

Fair enough. 4 is doable, but I don't know if we would make it to MO til about 6, it's an additional hour to the track. Since we were thinking track at 7 that would be just about perfect to meet them there, we would just have our bags in the car.  That is alright with me! Let's plan on it. I may not go to work that day, especially with Zach in town. My work is just off of I 70 though, so we will probably meet you there either way since you will be coming down 70 from Hays. That will make it quicker to get to Bolivar so you don't have to drive through KC suburbs to get to us. Let's just plan on meeting at my shop and touch base closer to the meet.

I think he may be talking about his cry-slur 4.0. Did you guys see what happened to the guy pointing? After the pic he touched the intake and it ended up getting wrapped around his arm, and then he got it wrapped all around his body, he got stuck and we had to help him out, looked like octopus man.

The day we pulled parts at the yard was the last time she's gone anywhere. That night it overheated on me then in the last few months I started to try and get her in order for the show when the LCM or whatever went bad. Anyone want to buy a has been Aurora? If I had a way to get her out there we could all have a blast ripping about a ton of weight in worthless parts off it and make a drag car. That would be fun and the "worthless" parts only because it won't need them. Selling the stuff that gets pulled could help pay for a built 4.6 Seems like the thing to do. Better than wasting away in the driveway right. I already have midterms starting next week so I may not stay around for the whole shabang. Are you talking about camping in your yard Randy? LOL. Drag strip Friday night and hanging at Randy's, pictures Saturday and possibly camping Saturday night, maybe junkyard Sunday. Midterms suck, man! It would be sweet if you could come to part tho.
