About adding oil...when I did the compressor on my Envoy I drained the old compressor and measured what came out, then added the same amount of new oil to the replacement compressor. I also replaced the accumulator/drier and the manual spec'd a certain amount to be added to the new part. The manual was actually very clear about how much to add to each replacement part. Not sure what the Aurora manual specs though. FWIW I bought the oil at a GM dealer and it came in what looks like a tube of caulk. It's meant for a certain tool that I don't have, but it will drain out of the 'cartridge' -- just really slowly. At least it was nicely marked so I knew how much was going in. If you do anything with the alternator (even just moving it out of the way), disconnect the battery first. I made the mistake of not doing that one time and now have a wrench with a nice "scar" to prove it!
