Hey everyone, I have a few post up, but I have some more questions on different topics. I could use some help/advice. Just got the 4.0 a month and half ago. Figuring out the kinks. Between 60-70 mph, I get this vibration in the front end that seems to come, then go, come then go and so on repeatedly. I have balanced the tires, so it is not a balance issue. I work on my own cars, so does anyone have an idea. Ball joint, tie rod end. The rack and pinion was replaced when I bought the car. So, I don't think it could be, but you never know. The wheel bearings seem OK, but then again, you never know. Just asking if anyone knows or understands what this could be. Thank you again. Quick question, where do I get the repair manual from?

Does the tires show any abnormal wear? It sounds like a possible wheel balance prob or maybe a tie rod issue. Have you tried lifting the car and try a shake down to feel for play in the bearings? I found my manuals from eBay.

Yeah, mine does it too, 60-65ish. Very slight but still annoying. I've had the tires road force balanced, checked for round, remounted, etc., etc. About the only thing I haven't done is replace the hubs, that'll be next.

Its definitely annoying. Tires have been re-balanced, and no difference. Need to get her up in the air to have a better look. I checked the hubs while the car was jacked up and seemscto be OK. Thanks for the responses.

I started to make a list of individual things to check, but the list gets pretty long quickly. Basically everything should be very solid and all mounting bolts are tight. Some parts, like ball joints, require leverage (pry bar) to check (google the procedure). Also note, if you changed any major suspension piece, you need a 4-wheel alignment. And check side to side, if something on one side looks different than the other, one of them is bad.

Make sure you get the tires road force balanced. I'd say most of the time this is a balance problem. But this is a very common issue on this car. I've learned to live with the very slight one I have on my current Aurora. My last Aurora's shake was something fierce though. I'm not sure anyone who's tackled the problem on here has ever found the solution. I remember Dan replaced a truckload of parts on the front end, struts, control arms, etc. and didn't find an answer from what I can remember.

2 sets of tires, numerous rotates & balances ck'd, ck'd,& rechecked balljoints, bearings, tierods, etc (not my first go round) I think if ya check 4 slop in inner c.v. joint on pass. side you might find your problem. I just drive under 65 or over 75.Don't know if yours is the same problem but I'm sure that drivin habits will save me the cost of an axle
