havnt changed back brakes in forever, looks like i may have to get a new rotor? its mostly rust, would it be ok to install pads without changing this rotor?

Can't really tell from the pic how much "meat" is left(how thick they are). You can take them to a parts store for resurfacing, they'll tell you if they're out of spec.

Has your car not been driven much? Rotors rust pretty quick if you don't drive the car much. Make sure your caliper pins are free and moving, then clean and lube them. The rear rotors on our cars cannot be turned, they are only able to be replaced.

i drive my car often, only chngd front brkes, not sure about back brakes
