according to a GM official, “you can’t have a premium American motor car with a high-tech screen in it. It is inconsistent.” Thus the CRT is dead at Cadillac and Buick, although Oldsmobile has embraced it to enhance Olds’ high-tech image.
Oldsmobile tried to tell them *GM* but they didn't listen and their own "consistency" kept GM's car interiors low grade and uninspiring.
my 93 camaro base had such a terrible interior.

Clearly, you never saw the interior of any earlier Camaros. The 93 had the most interior room, and the highest-quality plastics and fabrics, of any F-body in history up to that time.
