Ok thanks.. I found that you can mix pearls in the clear so I'm going to try this..
Almost bought a Wagner spray gun but since its my first time I want quality stuff. Instead of rushing to get a gun I just ordered a few gallon's and some mica powder. Figured I'd research spray guns b4 I jump into it.
I was leaning more towards that spray gun since its specifically made for it.
I can't seem to find this online anywhere, but after its cured how hard is the finish? That's really my biggest concern with it. For example, if you push your finger nail into it does it leave a indent? What about the glossifier, is the finish a auto paint shine? I would assume its duller? I'm pretty sure you went with the matte look but since your friend does it, I'd assume you have seen different finishes.
I have more question's but I'll leave those for later . haha
BTW thanks!!

I can try to answer all your questions but like I said I would definitely search that page once you've been accepted or ask if you can't find it.
I definitely respect you wanting to research guns, and agree that you can't go one specifically made for spraying dip. In fact I see multiple posts a day on that FB page where people ask "is this gun any good? etc."
The finish depends totally on how many coats you spray, the kind, and any type of finisher you have over it. For example, this stuff is a great buy that basically makes the dip a lot tougher/more resistant to scratching and whatnot:

I've personally never sprayed anything but gallons/rattle cans so I can't speak for the toughness of topcoat/glossifier/pearl coat or anything like that. I will admit even with the protective spray it's vulnerable to even something as harmless as a fingernail. I had someone take mine through a carwash and there wasn't a scratch on it, but I accidentally gouged my door handle with my fingernail and it made a pretty nice dent.
Like I said before, I've never used glossifier or pearls but can surely attest that you can match any professional automotive paint job with the right kind and quantity of materials. Here are a few examples of high gloss finishes using strictly dip products:

Again I would strongly recommend requesting to join that Dippers Anonymous community. They can answer all of your questions much better than I can and are very welcoming to newbies to the dip game. Best of luck!
