Has anyone ever used the Firestone Lifetime Alignment services? Will align the vehicle every six thousand miles or whenever you need it for the time you own the vehicle. Anyone know what the fine print is? Do they have to install the new suspension components after initial alignment for valid warranty? I know this is how Sears and other places do their warranties.

Always keep in mind an old law school expression....."There are big surprises in small print". Read that VERY CAREFULLY before you have any work done.

Lifetime Wheel Alignment Service
*With a lifetime wheel alignment service, drivers receive alignments free of charge every 6 months or 6,000 miles for as long as they own the vehicle. Talk to an automotive technician at your local Firestone Complete Auto Care for complete terms and conditions.
*See your auto advisor for complete terms and conditions of written limited warranties.
If they won't print it online, expect the worse, lol! Probably have to buy their tires too, haha!

^ That's why I asked. I do all my maintenance/repair/mods but I will fiddling with my suspension again soon so thought it may be worth it. I am sure if it was 'free' they would try to upsale on some imaginary 'problem'.

Depends how much it is? Alignments here cost $65. If it were a little more, it might be worth it!

I bought a lifetime alignment after I did some suspension work on a GMC Envoy I used to own. Was not at Firestone but at a place called Tires Plus (they're all over in Minn.). I kept that Envoy for a long time and it was worth it...I went back a few times and got my money's worth. I think I went back about every year. They never tried to upsell me or scare me with some problem in dire need of repair. Sure they'd recommend stuff (trans / pwr steering flush type things), but I'd just say 'no thanks' and move on. What I DID run into is not all the locations would honor the lifetime warranty -- one of those franchise vs. corp. store things. Long story short, I ended up having to find a different store due to moving and I was never quite happy with the new place. Out of the way and they just didn't have good customer service. Anyway, check out the fine print and if it sounds legit, go for it and and USE IT.
