I suppose I should put that in the sig ... it's a late production 1999. Bought it back in '05 with about 60K on the odo and it's never been in the shop. Closest it's come is driving into the dealer for an estimate just to get a ballpark figure on how much I'm saving doing it myself. <G>
Real nice ride ...
Biggest improvement is the tires. Yokohama Avid all around, force balanced. Smooth as glass at any speed.

Too late ... it's official! That'll have to do till the chrome name plate comes in ... <G> Should sand down the "aurora" and put BOB in its place. "Bob V8" haha

I saw the nylon fuel rail and just wondered what year. Thought you may not have had the recall for 95-97.

Ain't blowed up ... yet ... <G> Too late to do a driveby after the muffler transplant, but I did get a sample in the drive that gives a good idea of what the Flo Pro Classics sound like. Muffler guy was actually a bit worried that I wouldn't like them because they were too quiet, but it's almost exactly what I was looking for. No glass to break in, so what I'm hearing now should stay about the same. A bit more bass on idle and through standard acceleration, with no increase in drone ... just the deeper tone, and barely louder than stock inside. They open up pretty nice when you put the wood to it. We DID go with the 2" in and out. Just easier to work with than the 3 inchers originally planned. Adding adapters to the mix would have made clearances a bit tight. All in all, quite satisfied. If I DO decide to get a bit more grunt, I can always go with a slightly smaller resonator, but I think I'm gonna like it as is. Somewhat related project HERE ...

Sounds good! I have had a couple different setups. At one point I had my cat replaced, resonator straight piped, mufflers straight piped. I like the way it sounded, but ended up scrapping that exhaust because the cat was smaller and looked like a hack job, I hate other people working on my car. Now I have a ported flex pipe, resonator is there, mufflers replaced with straight pipes. I like the way it sounds, it's even pretty quiet on the highway, but I have been considering going back to mufflers because I don't like the attention it causes when I accelerate, I don't want the police noticing my C&I driving habits.
Sweeten the ride.
