The Classic does not have roller lifters, the 2nd gen does though. Emissions really isn't a concern(to me). I run Rotella oil so it should a bit more in it, but they have reduced the amount in recent years. I don't know what the PPM is.

Oil's getting too dang complicated for me ... I remember the good old days when most any dyno oil would do the job. Only thing I avoided back then was Pennzoil, as I'd pulled too many sludge encrusted motors apart that had been using the stuff.
After my crankshaft sensor transplant, I filled up with Mobil One 5-30, and now come to find out, that has alleged wear issues with GM V8's? Oh nooooOOOOoooooosssss ... I suppose one fillup won't hurt, and next time I'll hunt a bit longer to see if I can still find my favorite Kendall synthetic.
Anyway ... I've also read that most any 40w or above blend will have ZDDP in it, as it's only "energy conserving" blends that have limits. Energy conservation isn't an issue for me ... I get joy out of being able to floor it and see the efficiency gauge go down to 4mpg ... no surplus of carbon credits here, ok. <G>

I use BG MOA in my oil after about 9 months from changing the oil, 3 months before my next oil change with AMSOIL signature series. There are oils out there with higher levels of Zink or ZDDP too.
