On a 2003 aurora can the seat belt be removed from the side of the seat? My Daughter wants to put seat covers on.

Yes, it can be removed. It may interest you that the first step in the FSM is to remove the seat, lol!
It looks to me like if you took off the lower trim panel, you should be able to access the lower seat belt bolt and detach that end. Then you could pull the belt through the new cover.
Let us know...

That is what i had to do worked out nice. Thanks. Now have to find a way to get the heater blower to work. If it was not such a nice looking and driving car it would be easy to trade in.

Glad it worked out!
The blower not working is most commonly the motor itself. But it could be a number of things. The passenger floorboard isn't exactly a comfortable workspace either, good luck...
Start a new thread and let us know if you need anything (wiring diagrams, etc.)

So since someone else brought it up, here's my related question.
When I swapped my seat out a long time back, I hadn't noticed that the plastic cover at the top of the seat had been ravaged by UV. The one on the old seat is mostly just fine. I swapped out the back half of the cover just fine with only a screwdriver.
How do I get the seat belt out of the front part of the cover, so I can swap it as well?

In the picture below; 1 is basically part of the belt; it's put on before the tongue (the metal piece that goes into the buckle) is sewn on. You're stuck with that unless you "Frankenstein" the belt from your old seat, or cut it... If you detach the belt from the bottom, everything is supposed to go though the hole in 2. Never tried... Some of aftermarket custom seatcovers like Coverking or calternd come with special opening for the belt that covers up with velcro so you don't even have to take it apart. Like these for example: How To Install A Set Of Custom Seat Covers
