Pretty neat! Much nicer than my LED flashlight on a string set up, lol! Thanks Tigger. It was a pretty straight forward project. I say whatever works though! I just like projects haha. If you look hard enough in the output shot you can see little mans new to him 49cc Polaris Outlaw(bday/easter) too! He is still rockin' the power wheels out though as well.

If you look hard enough in the output shot you can see little mans new to him 49cc Polaris Outlaw... Haha! I did miss that first time around. He's gonna LOVE that! We looked into putting in a 5kW system for the house several years ago. At the time, cost/benefit was pretty poor but your project inspired me to take another look. Seems prices have really started to come down. With the "little ones" now up and out, we may have to revisit this... P.S. - Is that PEX rolled up on the wall in front of the mower? And what is yellow pipe for, natural gas?

Yes he has enjoyed it so far. He took to it really easily. Still working on using the brakes properly. Yes, price has significantly dropped on the panels. It would be nice to have a large enough system where the electric company would send us a check! It is all pex pipe except the yellow. As you guessed it is natural gas. A couple of years ago I had to replace both water and gas from the curb shutoffs to the house a few months apart. Fun stuff. Go figure the gas company is now responsible for everything up to the meter! I was a couple years shy of getting it done for free. I used some of the gas pipe for PW carport. Never know what the rest will be used for haha.

It would be nice to have a large enough system where the electric company would send us a check! Haha, you know it! My HOA restricts anything taller than the high point of your house (including tree-houses), so wind turbines are out, solar is in! It is all pex pipe except the yellow. As you guessed it is natural gas. A couple of years ago I had to replace both water and gas from the curb shutoffs to the house a few months apart. Fun stuff. Never know what the rest will be used for haha. Similar story here. I only know what pex is because my meter to house water line burst about 6 months ago, lol! Replaced that and now gearing up for a copper to pex replumb under/inside the house. Gas pack failed in early December, it never ends. Haha, I like that carport! You could use clear poly instead of the tarp and have a mini greenhouse. You could grow, uh, stuff...
