See where the clear part meets the gray backing? That is where you're going to separate the clear lens from the housing.
I use a Dremel Multimax to do mine.
You will use whatever tool you choose (a Dremel or similar with a cutting wheel will work fine) and cut the clear part all the way around until you get two separate pieces. Work slowly and be careful, you don't want to break the clear lens! I have never broken one myself so it's not TOO common but depending on how brittle your lens is and what tool you use breakage can be problematic.

IDk why you guys think they look so bad, its the only little bit of orange on the front of the car, its not like those older F150s with the all orange turn signals (yuck)

It's just a way to "clean" up the look a bit. On some colors the amber is ok, on others it seems to clash a bit, imo.

I don't think it looks bad necessarily. It didn't really bug me when I got the car or anything. I think Mike described it best... it just cleans it up a bit. It's a relatively easy mod to open up the lens and stick a clear one in there so in my opinion it's enough return on your effort to justify the action. ;D
The regular lens on a white Aurora actually contrasts pretty well. I didn't like it on my DRM (purple) as much. I can't imagine it would look better on Mike's blue bomber either! haha.

...yeah, the blue bomber with orange spots on the side? I like the clean/clear front end for sure!

Haha I didn't mean that to sound mean or anything! Its just that the yellow lens blends better with a color like white, black or silver than a weird one like my purple.

I made another set yesterday from those lenses I bought a few pages back in this thread. I had to sacrifice 2 good lights to make mine, but I have a couple sets still, lol. I am getting faster opening them up, takes about a 1/4 of the time it used to. I also switched from a dremel to a air cutoff tool. Again I say, WEAR SAFETY GLASSES! I had mine off for a second and got a little piece in my eye, this is not normal plastic, it is very mean to your eyes.
I have found that the LEDs are too directional... I still prefer the filament bulbs. I guess we'll see at the meet! ;D
Not when they are custom PnP yeah and too dim in the day. I'll post up my LED variation sometime in the near future.
You don't need to cut them open as tka mentioned he used a heatgun. Last time I opened a pair I did 220*F in the oven for 20 min on cutting board. Then pried them open. Again butyl is my recommendation for re-sealing.
I do like Randy's double clear diffuser though! ;D
Just an idea for the mod for those without a second pair of corners.
No need for a second pair, I just re-positioned the clear diffuser into the amber diffuser's place. Another benefit is that these are true clear corners and match up very well with the headlights/fogs and are noticeably brighter. I replaced the bulbs with JDM ASTAR Leds.

A good option! I have been doing the version where you use up two sets for a while now:
but your version is a great solution to someone who wants clears without adding another panel or having to purchase an additional set of corners to use up. The way that I used to do it was to cut a piece from a fluorescent light panel and RTV it in there. it didn't look bad, but if you looked at it you could tell that it wasn't OEM.
Nice work! They look good!
