We have a 2002 3.5 when we turn the blower motor on high speeds there is a deep drone sound coming from blower motor or perhaps somewhere in the duct work? Has anyone experienced this before? I opened the cabin air filter lid, and removed the filter, reached down with my hand and no obstructions seem to be in the birdcage. The air moves as it should but the loud noise is rather annoying, any ideas guys? Thank You in advance.

My '01 did that two or three years ago, and I agree, it's terribly annoying!
Like you, I checked for debris, nothing. Pulled it, blew it out with compressed air, reinstalled... no change.
Figured it was on it's way out so I picked up a motor and cage at Pull-A-Part, problem solved. ...for now, lol!

In my 2002, I had one that would sometimes not start. I pulled it out, and blew electronics cleaner inside the motor, followed by penetrating blaster spray, then let it dry for a while, spinning it by hand occasionally. After re-installing it, there were no more problems with it. Not sure if that would help with the noise, but it might be worth a shot. I should note that the lubricant did introduce a fairly strong smell for a while, and one would probably be better off with something that isn't petroleum based if you decide to try it.
