Hey guys. Just got back in from doing some work on my 01's clearcoat....oh you know just some delamination.... Wet sand it even and cleared over it. I know i know..not the right way of doing it but hey it's a 15 year old car and its a daily driver...plus not many people will be able to spot the spots i fixed. Any way i noticed that my trim moldings ( plastic prices in the center of the doors) were starting to chip. I want to remove them to repaint and such so I'm not taping and masking everything. Does anyone know if they are 3m taped or do they use the clips? Thanks guys

If they are anything like the Classic they use both double sided tape and clips. You will need to remove the door panel and door skin and should be able to spot the clips.

One way to find out for sure ... get some wide dental floss and try sawing one of the trim pieces off. You'll know soon enough if it's just foam or if you hit a clip.
