Hello everyone, new to the forums here I'm currently looking at a mint '99 Aurora with 71k for $4k and just wanted to know if theres any particular things to look out for when buying these cars? From what I've gathered these cars are very reliable and well made, and certainly seem so. I've not had a chance to go look at it yet as its out of town and I've been busy, but will probably go look at it next week. I did recently get to test drive a '98 with 94k miles and its honestly one of the nicest cars I've ever drove, and solidified my want for one of these cars. Just looking for any advice and things to check out when buying one of these.

Without knowing your market, a '99 (even one with only 71k miles) priced at 4k should be top shelf, i.e. NO ISSUES.

I agree, she should be ready to go at that price. Even so, any signs of over heating or leaking coolant would be the main thing I'd check for. She'll be dripping a little oil I can guarantee that. This is normal for the Aurora though. I honestly have never seen one that didn't (that hasn't gone through the resealing procedure)

It was at a dealership, hence the higher price, but they called me back today and told me it had been sold over the weekend. I had been making arrangements with them to bring it to a closer location (the dealer it was at was over an hour from me but they had another store about 15 minutes from me that they offered to bring it up to). But I'm still gonna be looking for one as I think they're about the best car for the value, plus they're super nice. Preferably a 1st gen. Thanks guys

How'd this ever turn out? Always good to see someone truly interested in a Classic Aurora.

window My brother just gave me his 1999 oldsmobile Aurora and it need work. I'm so excited because my husband and I own a body shop-mechanic shop. The first thing it needs is the rubber that goes on the back window that I just bought from a junk yard. ( which came with that donor car I bought). Where can I get the rubber for the back window? Thanks
