It's not just reporters. A lot of people just can't identify cars and their pervasive sameness doesn't help. But it's not a new phenomenon. Chevy Chase perfectly captured that notion more than 30 years ago in the movie 'Fletch' when he characterized the rental car he was driving as an 'OldsmoBuick'.

LoL. Its funny how the first ever car manufacture before ford chevy etc and true Americans dono what is an Oldsmobile just a shame .
