Yeah, we only have lower control arms.
Anyway, I kinda cheated when replacing the bushings on mine. It needed a lot of other things as well. Ended up buying one of the "kits" from RA. Two control arms with new bushings and ball joints, tie rods and ends, and sway bar end links. Fairly simple job in the driveway...

So Tigger, were you able to tell any difference in your ride?....specifically when it comes to bumps, &/or potholes??

It was like night and day. But I did do Monroe "Quick Struts" at that time as well. Overall, a firmer, more responsive feel and no more creaks and groans, haha! More recently, I've upgraded to polyurethane sway bar bushings and end links (Thanks sall!) and switched to KYB shocks and struts. Much better, IMO...

Tigger, How do you like the KYBs? I love 'em! A good bit more firm compared to AC Delcos or Monroes replacements, especially in the front. But, I like that... To borrow a motorsports metaphor; You feel more 'in' the road than 'on' it with the KYBs, haha!

How difficult is it to change the control arm bushings without changing the entire control arm? And is it good to change them in pairs?

Hey guys this is more about shocks than Aurora.. I have a really good gm parts store where I live they know there stuff and most of their customers do too. I haven't experienced any problems with the parts people but I also know enough to have my RPO list and other knowledge needed to get what I need. (Sorry for babbling) My point is I really wanted to do my truck all stock, but was talked into kyb instead of ac delco. I pulled my old front shocks and was able to compress them like pushing a straw through butter. The new kyb shocks are so good that I was trying to compress the 1st one could not do it even with all my weight on it and the other end on the sidewalk. Best darn shock I ever bought! Good warranty I believe, but haven't needed it yet. Definitely go kyb when straying from stock.

No problem at all if you have a press, and can find the bushings, LOL! Pairs as in on the same control arm, definitely. Pairs as in both left and right side, a very good idea...

Complete control arms for the 2G are like $50-60 from moog and dorman. I'd probably just buy one of those and end up with a new ball joint too and not worry about new bushings. If you are going to pay someone to do it you may as well buy the whole control arms.

Just check rockauto. May be the best pricing for them.
