Is it possible to add a compound under the rubber? The cause, would be to make the strips "poke" out a little more. The effect would make them reseal against the glass. Thus, no more water in my face at the car wash.

Anything is possible haha. If it works or not, I couldn't tell you. A lot of people lubricate their seal with silicone spray if it's dry and ineffective. You may have problems with the adjustment of the door/window even.

Hmmm.. the window does rock a little bit. Thought that was normal. The window motor doesn't like going back up. Maybe the previous owner loosened the window to take strain off the motor?

I think so lol. Don't have very many other Aurora's around here to compare with. I think there is about a half inch of rubber showing after the top of the glass. Does that sound about right? Will get a better look at it in the morning.

Hmmm, looks like it's rolled up all the way. Does look pretty dry. You can try lubing it with some silicone spray (I think that's what most people use). Also make sure it's seated correctly, although it does look to be.

Just spray it with some silicone a couple a couple of times. Wipe off excess before it dries. See if it helps. I have heard of people shoving some smaller tube inside to swell out the existing weatherstripping, just not on an Aurora. May be worth a try if silicone does not work.

My go to seal treatment ...  Spread it on with a finger and work it into the seals. Make sure you coat ALL the seal, including the inner folds. Let it sit a bit and wipe off any excess with a dry cloth. Makes the entire thing way more flexible and compliant. No more whistles, and it lasts quite nicely.

The window is also adjustable in tilt as well. In 1994 when I picked up my 95 new it had a pass frt air leak ( whistle ). After 2 unsuccessful trips to the dealer I finally went in with my shop manual and showed the technician where the adjustment was. Close the door with a few strips of paper between the glass and seal to see how much tension is present. Make sure the door is properly adjusted first. Good luck. If the seals are ripped or warn thru . I do have replacements. Rich

Cool, thanks Skizo! Randnon, Had no idea there was a tilt adjustment screw. Will have to take a look tomorrow. To see if I can move it. I have the inner door panel ready for my stereo install. All I have to do is pull up and it's off. If none of these work I'll talk to you about replacements
