Tigger you just sen't me into cardiac arrest dude. I'd seen a few PICS of that red one before but had no CLUE of the actual specs! These things are A M A Z I N G!!! See, this is EXACTLY why I stopped coming here, stuff like this gets me all outta whack and then I start making plans to sell banks that I don't even own to buy these things lolol. GM's decision making when it came to Olds demise is STILL befuddling...there was so much there and so much actual MEAT and hope and bottom line sales above Buick USA/Saturn/Hummer/Saab....but let's axe Olds first...just because smh. Btw glad that you guys remembered me lol, cool to see us all still rocking these Aurora's

Ah yes. The intrigue 442... I've gazed at it many a time. I wish I had a front bumper clip and the W25 style hood for my Aurora.

I believe the Oldsmobile Intrigue 442 does have the Aurora's v8 engine but as a supercharger I do believe but cant remeber the hp. The Olds Specialty Vehicles the Alero had the the 2.4l 230 hp supercharger, the OSV Intrigue had the 3.5l and 250hp supercharger, and the OSV Silhouette had the 210hp and the 3.4l. These were all nice cars to celebrate the Olds racing legacy and a shame GM didnt save them from the crusher. Olds also had the Zebra edition Oldsmobiles and had the Aurora, Intrigue and the Alero, and only the Intrigue and the Alero were saved and the Aurora was scrapped. Oldsmobile had everything, winning the indy 500, pace cars, had the nicest interiors of any other GM brand, the styling, innovation, and we will never know why really Oldsmobile had to go and not the other divisions in which never made a profit for GM, Like Saturn for instant, Hummer? ?? Olds outsold Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, Buick, for the 2000 model year but they had to go. But Oldsmobile was the most expensive division to phaseout in history!!! They had 3 different factories still up and running in LAnsing the LCA, Delta engine, and the stamping plant. These were all over 100 year old Oldsmobile factories that they were still making cars, engines, and the sheet metals and electroncs/parts. The only automotive factory in the world that was 107 years old and still had the quality, not the most effective or efficient as the newest factories that Lansing has. But because Oldsmobile had their Oldsmobile employees and the experience they had with there work quality was why for the success. Oldsmobile was the only division to be phased out correctly and why it took 5 years to say farewell to the oldest proudest American Brand! The final 500 Aurora, and the Alero were all walked off the assembly line by the lake orion and Lansing National guard respectively. The heritage, and the legacy of Oldsmobile lives on, the Oldsmobile employees are still making our GM cars today in Lansing, Michigan. My 2006 Cadillac STS, and my 2016 Cadillac CTS was made by the Olds employees and it has that special feeling to me as close as I can get to Olds and the spirit. So any CTS, ATS, Chevy Camaoro, Buick Enclave, Chevy Traverse, and the Outgoing 2016 GMC Acadia models are all made proudly in Oldsmobile town in Lansing, Michigan. As soon as you walk into LGR Cadillac plant the former Olds factory foundation, still has something to do with Olds with all of the 2 car factories and these are rated as the most effecient with Delta being the greenest and cleanest factory you walk in and the stamping plant also. Gm will be building their next newest Plant once again in Olds town in a couple of years. So no matter what, Oldsmobile was and still is an important division, and it employed thousands of employees, and was and still is a great car company! Forever Proud! All of my Oldsmobile's are retired now, just go to the car shows now, and occasionally on nice weekends now. So still keepin the Olds running and alive! Nothin like a good old Olds thats still running well! My Aurora's have been good reliable cars that I have owned since new, so there always gonna be in my stable. Here are some pics of our well kept Aurora's and we are all original owners here at the Olds homecoming 2016 in Lansing, Michigan. Theres still many of us who still cares for our old Aurora's.

So good to see and hear that there's still lots of Oldsmobile pride around the area and that that spirit lives on. It'd be really revealing to actually know why it was Olds that truly had to go. By that time US makes were courting Euro and Jap makes hardcore and my self included, had moved on from domestic makes without looking back...with the SOLE exception being the forward thinking Olds Motor Company. Alas, we'll never know...blah. Still got mad Love and dedication to Olds 👍🏾

I'm currently in the S80 and Love every single minute of it! That new S90 is stunning to say the least and Volvos continued climb is well deserved. Hopefully they'll give us a true sport/Polestar version of the 90-Series this time around. Previously the larger sedan buyers looking for luxury sport had to jump ship and go to the BimMerc group (shudders)

Rick Wagoner didnt know nothing when he discontinued Olds at the time, he wasnt even an car guy at all! Most of the GM executives was actually against the idea of axing Olds and was trying to convince him of not continuing with it. My family was effected by the closing of Olds, as my father and my great uncle had something to do with Olds. My great uncle worked for Olds at the headquarters in Lansing, and was one of the engineers and worked for them for almost 50 years. My dad had his own Olds/Cadillac dealership for almost 30 years, would have continued today but because Olds was being phased out his customer based left and sadly went to the imports sadly but some did go to Cadillac. So Oldsmobile is very sentimental to me and try to keep the legacy alive as best as I can. So here is a documentary about Lansing and of course the impact Olds had on a community. video.wkar.org/video/2365564756/ Also you still have your Aurora man?

Ya, I stil have my old hag (Aurora) haha. Still needs paint but as I've always said I don't ride on the outside 😂. The interior and drive train are still A1 shale but it hasn't been my DD for about 4 yrs now...still gets maintenance, cleaned, leather treatments weekly tho. The interior and the swapped leather is still cherry as well so it wasn't worth sending to the crusher, I just haven't had time to drive it with so many projects.
I DID make the decision to pass it on to my nephew for Christmas since he absolutely adores the car and he got his license last month (17yr old). I like how he thinks of the car in seeing it as a blank canvas to restore, instead of a pos because of the paint as most ppl tend to see it.
Most ppl that criticized it had cars with A1 paint but bad motors and trannys lol...go figure. I'd rather have a mechanically reliable car over a broke garage kWeen any day....but tomato tomahtoe...right? Lol.
The only caveat with him is that if he decides he no longer wants it is for him to give it back to me...don't think that's gna happen tho.

Unless you plan looking at the thing in a garage or only go to shows it is not worth it as it cannot be titled and driven on the street. The previous owner is a friend of mine and he said that they had nothing but computer problems and didn't run properly. He also said that GM was of no help to him. They got fed up and sold it.
As RCA1186 stated. it is the same car that has been for sale forover a year at the Midwest Car Exchange in Alsip, IL.
