Noticed a oil leak on the front passenger side of my 95 aurora. I suspect it started when I got an oil change a couple weeks ago but just noticed it a week ago. I havent driven it much since the change. Where should I look as the source of the leak?

Year? I"d guess 95-97. Which would lead me to believe oil cooler hoses. Otherwise valve cover gaskets. Sure it is engine oil?

95. Found the leak. This is a coolant pipe right? My coolant tank is a bit low. What should I do to fix it, and should I be concerned about any other parts that coolant may have gotten onto underneath it?

is this an oil cooler line or a transmission cooler line? Searching through the forums I'm seeing that line called both interchagably so I'm confused

Oil cooler line. Trans cooler lines are on the driver side. Oil cooler lines passenger side on 95-96 and some 97s. It runs from the filter adapter to the radiator. My advice is to get a non-oil cooler adapter from a 98+ Aurora or Cadillac w/o one. That is what I did on my '96. You should replace the o-rings as well if you go that route. The lines are probably still out there though and pretty straight forward to change. Just be sure to use a line wrench on the fittings. Unless it just neds snugged or the actual fitting is bad/plastic cracked. Then you need a new radiator.

Can we just plug the oil cooler adapter on the engine?

You could, but it's still a good idea to keep the oil cooler working.

Can we just plug the oil cooler adapter on the engine? i if you have a working one, you would prob make money selling it since its desired. if you want to bypass for reasons that make it trash, then you can

I think most run a short line from outlet to inlet to achieve this. Could also get a non-cooler adapter from a salvage yard. I don't know about just straight capping it off. Might work.

Might work. whats the cooler look like? If its capped off and it workes like GM oil coolers going back years and the 3800s, capping means it will be running in bypass because the loop isnt small potatoes , but it would probably mean a restriction in flow. IF it is. But thats the kind that go on the oil filter adapters, idk where the northstar one went

It's on the oil filter adapter. you can change the adapter to have or not have the oil cooler

Make sure its not the oil level sensor in the oil pan. I resealed my engine while I had it out, and now the frigging sensor is leaking.
