Hi all, I'm sure there is already a post on this deep in the forum, but I got somewhat lazy and hoped I could just get a quick response by asking the question myself. Neither of my passenger side windows are working. Bummer. Rear "dropped" on its own one day and on the same day the front just wouldn't roll down. The motor on the rear moves so I think that I may just have to replace the regulator there. Front window I expect to replace regulator and motor. Living in Michigan where the temperature is currently hovering around 0° F, I don't want to get into the doors to check and see which parts I need, I would just rather open it up and replace everything in one go. So my questions are these: First, should I buy the regulator and motor for both the front and the rear? Second, does brand of the replacement part matter? And third, assuming I will want ACDelco parts, what's the difference between a "professional" window regulator from ACDelco and a "GM Original Equipment" window regulator from ACDelco? Thanks for your help everybody!

Hapoy New Years Rubyrora, YES its very lazy NOT to go into the door to see what ur issues are....u could very well be looking @ something very simple to fix, like say the plastic guide may have jumped out of the tract. Or better yet you buy stuff you didnt need, besides wouldnt you want to pay ONLY for what u need???

best thing is to buy window regulator with the motor. Sometimes when you buy regulator and motor you have will not fit correctly. 2nd use some WD40 to lube the window tracks that can help for window to go down easy if its not regulator issue. Any brand is fine it doesnt have to be ac delco since they most expansive.
