Just an update on my transmission issues. My aurora has been at the transmission shop for the past 4 days getting work done. They tore it apart and called me to informed me that there was a lot of electrical issues with it including a shorted solenoid as such they where thinking that the PCM may need replacing as well also told me that my car is not in good shape even though my mechanic says otherwise. They they where asking $2600 CAD plus tax to fix all of that plus installing the transgo shift kit I provided. I was with my dad at the time who spoke with them ended up go visiting the shop first thing the next morning. They showed us what was up and it was discussed that all the work needed to be done plus installing my shift kit plus a new torque converter and PCM among other things can be done for $2200 CAD even. The used PCM is worth about $150 that may or may not be needed, I personally don't think the PCM is bad but we will see tomorrow when its done. Lol so it seams that my tranny is practically getting rebuilt for about $2200 if the PCM is bad as per our agreement. I personally think the car is in good shape with a bit of rust on the body and with 227000 kms on the odometer. The only other issue i have with the car is that after when I got a new bearing and front brakes put on the car The ABS and TCS lights came on first thing then i started the car to drive home the very next day and stay on all the time but the drive to work that morning was flawless. I seriously hope its not the ABS pump especially since I think the previous owner of the car got a new one installed not to long ago now. Let me know what you guys think.

i might be wrong but as many olds as i owned with high mileages never ever was an issue with the pump. I think some shops dono what the issue and just replace it anyway with other wires . Most common issue on Aurora Alero intrigue was always hub bearing or wire connector thats about it. About the trans yes the best thing is to rebuild. PCM might be an issue as well . I rebuild my moms 3.5 aurora trans 3 times 2 by warranty and its still acting up so it be my next thing to replace is PCM.

Your ABS/TCS lights are almost certainly a problem with the new hub/new hub's sensor. Could also be the wiring to the sensor as Paul said. I would not suspect a problem with the Pump. Try shooting some electrical contact cleaner in the plug and socket of the sensor and blowing it out with compressed air. Inspect the wiring while you do so.

Ok i will try that. I am wondering of my new bearing is showing signs of error right from the start that sees that car light up the ABS and TCS light from the start. Also I finally got my car back yesterday and shifts perfectly as well as being much less hesitant to downshift on hills.

Well as long as its not a pump issue i can live with that. I am also going to check the abs fuse tonight just in case. Which fuse panel houses that fuse?
