Need advise about how to fix my traction controlissue. It trips on continuously even on dry pavement, even in park position. I pulled the abs fuse and it stopped. Any suggestions? ALSO I have starting issues periodically, as if not enough gas getting through, and rpm but just had new battery, an oil flush, oil change, air & fuel filter service, as the car sat 8months. Michigan winters are harsh.

My guesses about the TC.......it might be a wheel speed sensor, or a short in the wiring. Have it scanned for any trouble in those areas. And welcome to ACNA.

When you start up, do you roll the key forward to accessory and wait for the chiming to stop and the fuel pump to prime? Some vehicles have major issues starting without first doing this. My 98 that I still drive daily sat for about 3 years and I had starting issues, especially as the climate would shift between summer and winter. Living in the desert we have some extreme summers up to & over 110F, and winters can get down to almost 0F. Now days it's rare that the car has a hard time starting and needs me to pump the gas to assist. My fix came after reading the manual. I made sure in the summer heat I was running only 10w-30 (seen what happens when you don't and it's bad) - and in the winter a mix of 5w-30 and 10w-30. In the desert we have 70 degree days randomly throughout the winter. The sun scorches everything. If I lived in Michigan I'd be running only 5w-30 through the winter. The right oil plus the fuel pump priming helped my start up issues resolve. However, I'm just a noob around here as well.
