I upgraded my key fob to 2032 batteries. The fob as original uses 2016 batteries. The difference between them is the thickness, 1.6 mm vs 3.2 mm. The fob now works better with more range and longer lasting batteries. Hasn’t caught on fire in my pocket or anything yet.

You forgot one, haha!
CR2032 3-volt, lithium, coin cell. Diameter: 20 mm. Thickness: 3.2 mm. Capacity: 225 mAh.
CR2025 3-volt, lithium, coin cell. Diameter: 20 mm. Thickness: 2.5 mm. Capacity: 165 mAh.
CR2016 3-volt, lithium, coin cell. Diameter: 20 mm. Thickness: 1.6 mm. Capacity: 90 mAh.
They should all function the same, just a matter of how long...
Minimal fire risk, lol!
